Prearrival services

Support and briefing for international students on the application and admission process, including housing support, insurance information and introductory and preparatory meetings. Visa support and assistance is also provided at the level of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as well as with the support of embassies of the respective countries (departments responsible for education and science).

Languages courses

Free Ukrainian language courses are available for all foreign students (optional). The TSNUK has a large list of English-language programs, some specific English-language courses. All staff members of the Institute of High Technologies are fluent in English (at least B2 level).

Housing

Currently all foreign and Ukrainian non-resident students (who needed it) are provided with a hostel.

Integration

Various events are held at TSNUK including: scientific seminars and events to promote science, music and over cultural events. The initiators of such events can be both relevant faculties / institutes, university administration in general, students and student self-government bodies. The announcement of such events is easily accessible through the official sites of faculties / university official site, social networks.

Special needs support

Almost all university buildings are now equipped with everything needed for people with disabilities (approximately 60%). This process is now actively completed, sometimes with technical difficulties due to the fact that some of the university buildings are of historical value.

Access to culture and sport

All students of the University have the opportunity besides their study also to live an active and sports lifestyle and the university has all the possibilities for it: stadium, swimming pool, sports complex with active sections of almost all sports, gyms in all hostels. Also, there is a music lounge at the university, where music and cultural events take place every Wednesday of the academic year.

Bar-Ilan University (BIU) provides all international students with access to all general facilities and resources available at the campus. Extensive information about living in Israel and the Tel Aviv Metro Area is made available, as well as additional support to students for all essential needs (i.e. banking, health insurance, mobile phone, campus security). All incoming students arriving to Israel must arrange for a student visa in the local Israeli consulate prior to arriving in Israel. A list of Israeli consulates around the world is found on the BIU website. Before approaching the local consulate, the candidate must obtain a letter from the university, indicating the acceptance to BIU, the field of studies and the exact dates of studies; such letter can be provided by the specific department or in some cases by the International School. Integration: BIU has a full-time staff responsible for the events, programming and welfare of all international students. There is also a mentoring program for international students.

Language courses

BIU provides language instruction courses in Hebrew and English from basic to advance levels.

Housing

BIU offers on campus dormitory rooms for international students. The dormitories are open to students of all backgrounds and provide a warm atmosphere and convenient access to all academic services.

Special needs support

BIU works to improve on-campus accessibility for all students, and provide equal opportunity to students with special needs, such as the learning disabled, the visually impaired, the hearing impaired, and students suffering from other physical disabilities. They offer study rooms with specialized equipment to disabled students, including special computers, recording tapes and other means of academic assistance.

Access to culture and sport

All students are encouraged to join the Student Union which organizes cultural and social events, as well as clubs and sports activities through the year.

Students are informed about all administrative steps via the website of NOVA university. There is a dedicated contact person to assist them in the procedure.

Integration

Life Lisboa is a non-profit organization that intends to support and integrate international students in Lisbon by providing useful services and organizing local Cultural, Sport and Entertainment activities. At the Faculty of Sciences and technology (FCT NOVA) There is a buddies' system for foreign students in place, organized by the students' association AEFCT.

Language courses

Starting at the beginning of each semester with classes two times a week all semester long. This Portuguese Language Course corresponds to 3 ECTS.

Housing

There are two ways of getting accommodation: At the students' Residence of FCT NOVA and Private accommodation nearby the Campolide Campus. There are currently three Halls of Residence for students of the University, with total of 460 beds. Priority is given to Portuguese scholarship students and foreign students on exchange programs.

Special needs support

FCT NOVA provides parking places specifically for students/academic staff with special needs, and also has access ramps to its buildings and lifts. It is also possible to carry out a case-by-case analysis to try and minimize any difficulties that such students/academic staff may experience.

Culture et sport

The services of social action of the University (SASNOVA) contributes to students' well-being and educational success by increasing sports activities, promoting and encouraging all sports activities and reinforcing the University's image through sport. Université Paris Cité

Prearrival services

In terms of information-communication, students have access to information on the university's website, in order to prepare their international mobility; all pedagogical, administrative, financial and logistical aspects are made explicit. As a support, a guide for international students have been produced for them. At foreign student's arrival, an Integration Week is organized. The intensive French language and civilization course, pre-semester is open to all incoming students.

Languages courses

A language preparation is available through the Language Resource Centre with 400 self-service computers, which offers self-study modules and supervised sessions with a language instructor. Students and staff can learn German, English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Vietnamese.

Housing

Université Paris Cité offers a limited accommodation offer to incoming students, taking into account the Parisian situation and the cost of living in Paris.

Integration

A welcome and information meeting is organized by the International Relation Office at the beginning of new semester, and also in each component of the university. The International Relation Office has set up a sponsorship program between Université Paris Cité students and incoming students. Many events are organized and offered by the International Relation Office and in connection with student associations to all students in study mobility. An intensive course in French language and civilization is offered to all students on an exchange program. At the institutional level, the university organizes a Day of Reception and Associative for all new students arriving at the university, from the second week of September.

Special needs support

Students with disabilities are regularly encouraged to undertake international. A special guide has been published for them be the Disability Unit.

Access to culture and sport

At Université Paris Cité, every effort is made to ensure that students become actors in civil society and citizens. Université Paris Cité offers free sports courses in the 1st or 2nd semester, validated in your curriculum; a personal training with physical, sports and artistic activities; events around sport and its values. Université Paris Cité offers free cultural events, workshops for artistic practices, supports personal or collective amateur projects, informs students about current cultural events. Every year, the cultural department selects nearly 50 shows at negotiated rates to obtain prime placements in the best venues in the Paris Region on presentation of a student card.

Before they arrive, students obtain information on Ljubljana university, course offers, languages etc. via its website (https://www.uni-lj.si/international_cooperation_and_exchange/erasmus-plusprogramme/incoming_students) and by email.

Integration

Students associations arranges for activities which are not part of degree programs. It is an organizer and promoter and represents students' interests. The Students' organization of UL (ŠOU) is active in a variety of areas of student life such as social students' services, cultural, sports and other extracurricular activities. Each faculty has also their own buddy system for incoming students.

Languages courses

Students are offered a facultative intensive Slovenian language course before starting the winter or summer semester. The Centre for Slovene as a foreign language proposed by the Faculty of Arts, organizes a 60-hours-intensive Slovenian language course (3 ECTS). The course fee is 75€ and the places are limited (the “first come first served” principle). There are also several commercial Slovenian courses for foreigners where students can get discounts.

Housing

The University of Ljubljana does not provide or guarantee accommodation. Students can apply through an online application to rent a room that is part of the Student residence halls (a very limited number of beds!) The International Office can help you with providing rooms in the Student residence halls, but due to the shortage of rooms, we cannot guarantee that you will really get a bed.

Special needs support

The faculties are in charge of all special needs support. Before arrival the students therefore contact the international office of the faculty involved. Every faculty has are dedicated contact person for students with disabilities.

Access to culture and sport

The University of Ljubljana has well organized extracurricular activities, within the scope of which individuals may acquire further knowledge and experiences contributing to personal and professional development.

Prearrival services and Integration

International students can learn about dedicated services and opportunities at the University Welcome Day, co-organized by the Study and Career Guidance Service, the Registrars, the International Mobility Office, the Language Centre, the Library Service and the Student Sports Association. A Welcome Guide and Vademecum are available both online and on print.

Languages

The Language Centre of the University of Milan SLAM organizes Italian language courses for beginner, intermediate and advanced users. Some degree programs include a language assessment in their study plan. Students who already own one of the language certificates recognized by the University receive language assessment credits according to their study plan. Students who do not have a recognized certificate must take the placement test according to the chosen language.

Housing

The University of Milan offers accommodation to deserving enrolled students in halls of residence and apartments situated close to the university buildings. Accommodations are assigned through call for applications published every year around July. The University offers to all regularly enrolled students a refectory service.

Special needs support

The University provides support services to students with disabilities, to ensure their inclusion within the academic community. Support services are granted for the entire duration of the student's academic career. A range of customized services is provided upon request. In the Laboratory Classroom of the Learning Disabilities Service, computerized workstations are available upon reservation, with vocal synthesizers, printers, scanners, both for study and administration purposes.

Access to culture and sport

The University has built a relationship network and signed agreements with cultural institutions and associations of Milan and other cities, to promote cultural exchanges between the academic and local communities. University students can participate in existing and new cultural initiatives, also through their associations. The University Sports Centre is an amateur sports association that has been promoting and organizing university sporting activities for over 70 years. It allows Milan university students to play many sports at affordable rates, both in the events managed by the center, and in affiliated sports facilities.

Prearrival services and Integration

A special attention will be paid to facilitate the administrative formalities for all students. They will find useful advices on the Mundus website and will benefit from the advices of the program manager and local mentors that will help them to smoothly handle these tasks before and after arriving in Strasbourg. Staff from the Strasbourg registration office is already familiar with these administrative procedures.

Language Courses

In order to get acquainted with the French culture and language, students will benefit from basic French courses that will take place during their semester. If students want to learn more French as a foreign language, they will have free access to independent learning at the SPIRALE language institut.

Housing

In Strasbourg, the accommodations for international students are coordinated by the international office of the University. Students benefit from comfortable studios at reasonable prices, like the ones which will be available in the International Welcome Centre. Considering the limited number of places available, students are strongly recommended to start applying for student residencies as soon as possible. The programme coordinator is unable to supervise this process, it is therefore the student's responsibility to search and to contact the Project Manager for advice. Students are also advised to participate in meetings organized by the International Office on topics related to housing and visa. Such meetings may also take place on a yearly basis within the consortium of partner universities of the projet, with newly selected students.

Access to culture and sport

At the University of Strasbourg, students will have access to university canteens, university libraries, the Digital Work Environment and all student services via “Alsace Campus Pass” (student card). Students will be able to get a Culture Card that will enable them to obtain preferential rates at shows, movie theatres and museums throughout the Alsace region. They will be also able to enjoy a variety of sport activities proposed by the Sport service. Over 60 university buildings benefit from wireless coverage. The Digital Work Environment's virtual portal provides members of the university community with numerous services: e-mail, news, exam results, schedule and a virtual library among others. Thanks to EUCOR network (European Confederation of the Superior Rhine Region) the Strasbourg university community also has access to the libraries of 5 partner universities (Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Basel and Mulhouse). Books can be checked out with the presentation of the Alsace Campus Pass.
